Arcadia has a large (circa 89 hectare) parcel of Rural Visitor Zoned land between the edge of Diamond Lake and the Glenorchy Paradise Road. This zone encourages the development of short term accommodation and tourism activities. The district plan is currently under review and Under the Proposed District Plan approximately 21 hectares of rural visitor zone will be developable under a new set of planning parameters.
Alongside the 11 bedroom Arcadia Homestead and 4 bedroom cottage there are 11 residential platforms are consented but as yet not individually titled. Physical works are required to pick up these titles.
Additionally 4 large residential lifestyle sections are titled but not all conditions of the land use consent to register building platforms on these titles have been completed. If the consent is deemed to have been given effect to, further works are required to register the building platforms.
